Moyne Cluster Numeracy Professional Learning Team

At our last Numeracy PLT teachers shared and discussed rich tasks they are currently using in their numeracy sessions with students in years 5-9. We also looked at work from Michael Ymer on developing yearly overviews for VELS levels in mathematics.
Staff visited the new DET Mathematics Continuum site http://www.education.vic.gov.au/studentlearning/teachingresources/maths/mathscontinuum/default.htm
and investigated ways of using this resource. Currently feedback is being sought on the usefulness of this resource.

The Moyne Cluster Numeracy Conference DVD package is here!!!!

A copy of the DVD and invoice for $25 will be sent along with professional readings and other resources from the conference. This DVD package could be used with any school or cluster Professional Learning Team P-10.

The DVD package includes all keynotes, workshops and discussion panels from the conference presented by - Peter Sullivan, Doug Williams, Di Siemon and Charlie Lovitt.

Welcome to the Moyne Cluster Numeracy Teaching & Learning Ideas blog.

This blog has been created to share ideas and latest research and thinking about good mathematics teaching and learning in the classroom.
The blog is aimed at supporting future thinking and sharing as a result of a recent Numeracy Conference held in Warrnambool Victoria this year.
The conference was organised by the Moyne Innovation and Excellence Cluster (Numeracy Professional Learning Team).
